Record spoken feedback using the microphone floating button and transcribe reflections directly into board cards.

Problem This Solves

Record spoken feedback using the microphone floating button and transcribe reflections directly into board cards.

When to Use This

A working microphone with browser permissions granted on https://app.letretro.com.

Prerequisites

  • A working microphone with browser permissions granted on https://app.letretro.com.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Locate the Microphone Action Button: Look at the bottom right corner of any active board workspace for the black circular Microphone icon (FAB).
  2. Click to Record: Click the microphone button once to begin capturing your voice input.
  3. Speak Your Feedback: Clearly articulate your retrospective observation or sprint impediment.
  4. Understand Voice Auto Mode: In Board Settings > Features, facilitators configure Voice auto mode (Add voice cards directly without confirming a column). When enabled, transcription is assigned to a column immediately; when disabled, you confirm the destination column before the card posts.
  5. Track Monthly Quota: Pro accounts include 100 AI Voice Cards per month (trackable under /dashboard/billing).

Expected Outcome

Your spoken reflection is converted into a structured text card without requiring typing, providing an accessible, rapid way to contribute during retrospectives.

Troubleshooting & Realistic Tips

  • If the microphone does not respond, verify that your browser has not blocked microphone access for app.letretro.com. Click the lock/settings icon in your browser address bar to allow audio recording.
