Problem This Solves

Authorize third-party tools via OAuth, configure workspace permissions, and safely disconnect services when needed.

When to Use This

Sign in with workspace administrator access and have administrative credentials for the external tool.

Prerequisites

  • Sign in with workspace administrator access and have administrative credentials for the external tool.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open Integrations: Navigate to /dashboard/integrations from the top navigation bar.
  2. Select Target Tool: Locate the card for the service you wish to configure (e.g., Slack, GitHub, Jira) and click on it.
  3. Authorize External Access: In the connection modal, click the connection button to initiate the secure OAuth authorization flow with the provider.
  4. Grant Permissions: Review requested read/write permissions on the provider screen (such as posting messages for Slack, or creating issues for GitHub/Jira) and approve.
  5. Configure Board Defaults: Once connected, configure which workspaces or sprint boards can push cards and sync actions to this integration.
  6. Disconnecting an Integration: To revoke access, return to the integration card at /dashboard/integrations and click Disconnect. Tokens are purged and automatic synchronizations stop immediately.

Expected Outcome

Your external tool is securely connected with precise permissions, enabling automated retrospective workflows.

Troubleshooting & Realistic Tips

  • Disconnecting an integration leaves historical cards and exported records inside LetRetro completely safe and intact.
